Does love come to you as a kindness?
Does pain seek you in vengeance? Your
poems are your own failings. Think how
much more can be said by your silence. Do
you hear the remonstrations of the moon?
Isn’t she still the greatest of poets?

I so want to have a touch of the moon’s poetic talent in me. Beautiful

As a Mom and a writer – I”m not a huge fan of silence – of not speaking and sharing my thoughts. But silence at the appropriate times is of course, necessary. I think the moon inspires great poets… 🙂

The remonstrations of the moon. The alliteration there is wonderful. Mon – moon.

Let’s blame the moon for that! Certainly not a deliberate touch 😀

Wow! An arresting point of view. And the moon is discouragingly elusive and inspiring.

Think that particular chapter was advocating silence over speech and that inspired the poem! 🙂
