rain accentuates everything…
like in the movies
singing through puddles
the dull eyes of dripping streetlights
crying raindrops…
I tried yesterday
dragging my half-poem out
as deluge turned to drizzle
to despair
to laughter…
we walked back slowly
wet, bedraggled, both still incomplete…
Such powerful analogy in this one ❤️

Your imagery is so good that I could imagine myself there in the scene, feeling the atmosphere.

I posted my half poem, then laughed. Sometimes it is only the laughter that brings completion.

Some poems just do not want to worked into something decent. Or maybe they work out at some point in the future. BTW, love the dripping streetlights line.

fantastic ! The half-poem, incomplete, changing rain. Very fun.
BTW: second line with too many “in”s ?
