For Carpe Diem #693, Chess Game

  1. A very surreal use of chess game and it’s so true Thot … I have never watched at nature in that way. However this haiku brought another haiku in mind by Basho (1644-1694) in an almost similar imagery. I have sought for the right haiku but I couldn’t find it, but here I have the haiku as I remembered it myself:

    stars against the dark sky
look like the stones of Go
    gods playing

Or something, maybe I will ran into the correct verse. It’s from his haibun “The Narrow Road to the Deep North” (or Oku No Hosomichi)
