Morning After

Last night’s troubles foam,
in the flowing yellow light,
darkening her eyes.

  1. Welcome at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai Thotpurge … what an extraordinary, but beautiful (and dark) response on this prompt … It could be a thought by Van Gogh as he was institutionalized in the asylum in which he came to the best of his paintings.
BTW … I am your host at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai.

    1. Thanks so much for providing the inspiration and for your kind comment. Have made a submission on the summertime prompt as well!! Very interesting to explore the mind of the artist…that mystery makes the painting more beautiful I think!
